As promised

Here are the 25 week (+1 day) pictures that I promised yesterday. I was running late again, but knew I couldn't get away with not posting them a second day ; )

And here's the dresser/changer combo that we got. I took off the knobs and replaced them with ones that match the wallpaper border. Have I mentioned how in lovf I am with this stuff? The cars are just too damn cute!

  • Milestone: Nursery is more than halfway done!
This week has been really tough. DH, baby and I are all fine, everyone is in good health, but I’m suffering through a personal crisis. There are things going on in my life that are causing me to turn to God in a way that I never had to before. Please pray that I can come through this a better person and with a stronger faith.

Our appt on Tuesday went well. Wiggler is doing great, strong heartbeat, strong kicks and overall, looking perfect. I’m going to have to do the glucose test for the next appt, so they gave me the orange flavored concoction. I’m hoping it’s not too bad.

I managed to wrench my lower back last night while picking up my little dog. It was so stupid, I know how to properly bend and lift, but didn’t this time and now I’m paying for it. Lift with your legs ladies!

We found another awesome deal on Craigslist for the dresser/changer combo; saved ourselves a good $150+, so that’s good. I took pictures of it, but haven’t had a chance to upload them yet, nor did I have time to take my weekly belly pic (I was running so late this morning), so I’ll update later with that also.

AWing it up ; )

Just a few things:

We have finally chosen a name! It was by far NOT an easy decision, but I am so happy that we have that settled. I went out and bought the letters for his name from Micheal's so that I could get started decorating them.

Second, we have finished putting up the border in the nursery. We ended up with only about a foot left of the wallpaper, so it worked out perfectly!

Thirdly, my fabulous MIL is helping me out with some nursery decor, since I can't find anything that I like in the stores. She made us this bumper! I'm totally in lovf with it!

And finally, my ILs also bought us our travel system! I couldn't wait to get it out of the box and put together. Here's my AW doggie test driving it : )

That's all folks!

My oh-so-sexy maternity jeans ; )

They literally go all the way up to the bottom of my bra, but they are so comfortable that I just don't care! Once I put my shirt down, you can't tell that they're any different from regular jeans, and my butt looks amazing in them! I had to shake it for DH's benefit. He was very appreciative ; )

  • How far along?: 24 weeks
  • Total weight gain/loss: +21 pounds... yeah... I know it's not anything to worry about, but I seriously hate seeing the numbers on the scale going up.

  • Maternity clothes? Yep
  • Stretch marks? Nope
  • Sleep: I'm finding it a little tougher to find a comfy position, but once I'm actually sleeping, I'm out for the night.

  • Milestones: Today is Viability Day!!!
I'm so happy to reach this point, especially after the scare we had at 20 weeks. Now I can be absolutely certain that should something happen (God forbid), our doctors will do everything in their power to save our little one.

I've been feeling the teeny one rolling around a lot more. It always makes me wonder what the heck he's doing in there! ::pictures him using my bladder as a punching bag:: It's such a cool feeling, I wish DH could experience it just once. It's really hard to describe and I worry that he feels a little left out.

No bare belly today, I don't think you really wanna see my panties and celulite covered thighs!

23 Weeks!

I've been seeing the following survey thing floating around and thought it would be a good idea to include. It's kind of a Cliff's Notes of this weeks' progress : )

How far along? 23 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Haven't weighed myself since 21 weeks, but it was up 17 pounds then.
Maternity clothes? Yep
Stretch marks? Not that I've noticed, but I do have a linea nigra
Sleep: Very comfy with my Snoogle
Best moment this week: DH got to see BabyLovf kicking his Mama, I don't think I've ever seen him stare at anything as hard as he was staring at my belly!
Movement: Every day! I think we have a little soccer player on our hands (just like his daddy)!
Food cravings: I really wanted a fruit cup the other night, alas, we had none and DH wouldn't go get me any : (
Gender: It's a BOY!
Labor Signs: No, thank goodness
Belly Button in or out? FLAT!
What I miss: Roller coasters
What I am looking forward to: Baby showers!
Milestones: Seeing movement

I've gone from having no baby showers planned, to having TWO in the works! All in one day! I can't believe it, I'm so excited! My mom and SIL decided that it would be easiest to have two because I have a lot of family and friends that probably wouldn't make the 6 hour drive from CA out to AZ to attend one here. So, SIL will throw me one in CA in May and my mom will do another one for our AZ friends and family in early June. Crap, that means I'm gonna have to beef up our registry, it has pathetically few things on it right now. But YAY anyway : )

DH has also added another name to our list. We were down to two and had decided that it'll probably be a game time decision. Now he's throwing another one into the mix, and I must admit, this new one is really starting to grow on me! The more I think about it, the more I like it, and the more I could picture myself using it.

23 week belly:

And finally, look who I found in my Snoogle this morning! Silly pup ; )

How did I not notice this before?

My belly button is flat! No more inny for me! ::hoping that it doesn't pop out for a while at least::

Monday, March 2, 2009

I almost forgot!

With my rambling post below about paint and fans and crap, I completely forgot to include a VERY exciting development!

I saw BabyLovf’s kicks the other night! It was 1 o’clock in the morning and I was watching the end of the Lord of the Rings and I saw it jump out of the corner of my eye. So I bared the belly and eyeballed it for a good four or five minutes before he did it again. It was so cool! He’s also kicking much higher than before. They used to be really low, but now they’re up by my belly button. I wonder how much longer I’ll have an inny...

I tried to get DH to come over and check it out, but he was snoring in my chair and wouldn't be moved for anything. Oh well, just another chance to spend some quality time with my baby boy : )

Nursery Progress

At this rate, we should have the nursery completely put together in just a couple more weeks!
**The orby things over some of the pics are just floating dust that got magnified in the flash.**

My mom and I painted the red that will go behind the border, but that stupid blue tape didn't do jack! The red bled right thru it and onto the blue. I was so pissed and disappointed, we can't put the border up until I fix the stripes : (

MyLovf put up the fan.
Mom and Daddy put up the curtains and the VALANCE!!
And we put the crib together!! It took all of us (so funny) to get that thing done. Notice the puppy head at the bottom of the first pic, I couldn't get her to move. LOL
Here's MyLovf sorting the hardware:
MyLovf and Daddy:
All my helpers. See my Grandma sitting on the floor? : )
Almost done!
And voila!

We will definitely be putting up the border next weekend. My Grandma has offered to buy the mattress for BabyLovf! And we will hopefully be getting the dresser/hutch/changing table/whatever-we-decide-on by the end of March.

Also, my wonderful MIL has volunteered to make the baby bumper and some other little things as far as bedding, and I am soooo excited! I wasn't having very much luck finding things that I liked and now this is one more thing that I can cross off my list! I can't wait till she sends them! Yay!
