I know, I'm a horrible blogger!

What can I say? I just can't seem to find the motivation (or the time, really) to update. I'll try to make up for it now.

The first month with Little was the hardest month of my life. I've been peed and poo'd on, spit up on, had my chest clawed to the point of blood draw, I'm sleep deprived, and have gone days without showering. I've dealt with diaper blow outs, all day fussiness, and all night crying sessions. I've wanted to kill my husband and pull out all my hair. It's been awful.

It's also been pretty damn wonderful! I've spent hours staring into my little one's eyes, memorizing every little facial feature, tickling his little belly, noming on his little toes, and kissing his little palms. I spend my days hanging out with him; singing to him, talking to him, telling him all about the laundry, or the dishes, or the dogs, or whatever I happen to be doing at the moment. He pretends to understand what I'm saying and watches all with great interest... until he falls asleep in his swing. I've changed well over 200 diapers, given a couple dozen baths and thousands of kisses. It's been the best month of my life, I can't begin to put into words how much I lovf this little guy!

Breast feeding is one of the most difficult things I've ever undertaken. We've had latch problems for a while (I think it's nipple confusion) and boy, have I suffered. I don't think my nips will ever be steely and feeding him is really painful (less so now than when we first started... but still). So, I'm considering exclusively pumping. I just wish we had the money for a really good pump, the one I have is cheesy and it's obnoxiously loud. On the plus side, my supply is slowly increasing, so we're having to supplement less and less (yay)!

We took Little to have some photos done at about 2 weeks old. A friend of mine is aspiring to be a photographer, so he offered to do some newborn portraits for free. We took him over there and got all of four usable shots. It was just not a good day for him, he cried and fussed the whole time.

I had my postpartum check up last week. Everything is healing up nicely, though there is still one stitch hanging out. Doc said to wait another couple weeks before resuming sexy time and gave me a prescription for the mini-pill.

I'm gonna have to end this post now, I gotta get to work finding customers for my new business. Anyone need a new cell phone?

Here's my Little at 1 month old!
