Baby Survey

I've seen this survey floating around on some of my girls' blogs and thought it was cute, so here are my answers!

Baby Survey:

1. Were you married at the time? Yep, we celebrated 3 years a couple of weeks before the birth.

2. What was your reaction when you found out you were pregnant? Ecstatic. Nervous. I think there may have been some twirling.

3. How old were you? 26 for both the BFP and the birth.

4. How did you find out you were pregnant? +HPT on 10/24/09.

5. Who did you tell first? MyLovf and TF girls

6. Did you want to find out the sex? Oh yes; I'm such a planner, I had to know what color to paint. I didn't want a gender neutral nursery : )

7. Due date? July 02, 2009

8. Did you deliver early or late? 3 weeks early!!

9. Did you have morning sickness? I had a little bit of nausea for the first couple of weeks, but I never got sick.

10. What did you crave? Pretty much everything. I could not stop eating!

11. What irritated you the most? That people would tell me to be happy about not having any symptoms. I've had 2 miscarriages, the lack of symptoms freaked me out.

12. What was your first child’s sex? Boy!

13. How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy? 36

14. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Preterm contractions at 20 weeks, but nothing else.

15. Where did you give birth? Banner

16. How many hours were you in labor? 17 hours and 56 minutes from water break to delivery.

17. Who drove you to the hospital? MyLovf

18 . Did you take medicine to ease the pain? I did, I got an epi. I wanted to go med free, but without the cushion of the water bag plus the pitocin, it was just too damn much for me.

19 . How much did your child weigh? 6 lbs 11 oz

20 . What did you name him/her? Sorry interwebs, not gonna post his name.

21 . How old is your first born today? 4 months, 2 weeks & 5 days

22. Who does your child look like? He is the spittin' image of his daddy. Little stinker got my eyes though.

23. Did you get mad at your husband during labor? Yes! I had told him before hand to try and keep me from getting an epi... and he did! It was a tough decision on my part, I really hated caving, but I was in so much pain! When he started arguing with me ('cause I had told him to) I was livid. I screamed at him to "Go get the f-ing nurse!" Not my finest moment, but after agonizing over the decision for hours, I just wanted to get it over with.

Pumpkin Patch, Hello Dolly, and an Anniversary!

We took Litte to his first pumpkin patch on Saturday. It was very crowded, so we didn't stick around, but we got some really cute pictures before we left!

MyLovf and I took Little on our first official family outing; a nature cruise around Canyon Lake. It was so much fun!
The boat was named Dolly : )
The lake was amazing.
See the elephant shaped rock formation?
Little had to be in a life jacket. My puffy baby : )
Great day : )

And finally...

One year ago, we found out something that would change our lives forever. One year ago, we found out that our Little was on his way. We are so blessed to have him in our lives.

~Confession: I still have this test in a drawer ; )

So big!

We took Little in for his four month vaccinations on Saturday. I was dreading this day and praying that it wouldn't be as bad as his two month ones. They weren't! Hallelujah! He got three more pokes, but only cried for a couple minutes and then he was done! I preempted this round with Tylenol about 20 minutes before the appointment and did not allow more than 4 hours to pass before giving him another dose (see, I learned my lesson)! I even had to wake him up from naps to make sure he stayed comfortable. He did pretty well throughout the day. There was some fussing, but no ugly crying like the last time.

Our little monkey now weighs 14 pounds and is 26 inches long! The pedi says he's doing great and cleared him for starting "solids"! MyLovf insisted on being the first person to give him a spoonful of the ricey goodness.

I think this look says it all!
After about 20 minutes of trying, he finally stopped spitting it back out.
I guess he decided that it's not so bad after all.
He finally got to relax after daddy stopped trying to shove the icky stuff in his face.
This kid is growing up way too fast. ::le sigh::

Four months!

I died of cuteness overload when I saw him in this little plaid shirt.
He was talking to me when I took this one.
Little is talking to us a lot more; it’s so cute to listen to his conversations with his Daddy (who he talks to a lot more than his Mommy)! He’s perfecting his belly-to-back roll-over skills, but he hasn’t quite gotten around to trying out back-to-belly. I’m sure that’s coming up soon, he can get half way there before he gets stuck! He really likes to sit up, but doesn’t have any balance yet, so MyLovf and I have to hold him up. He also has a Bumbo seat that he likes to sit in. He’s very drooly and looooves noming on his hands! He falls asleep consistently with at least two fingers in his mouth. I don’t think he’s teething yet, he doesn’t seem to be uncomfortable at all, just fascinated with the fingers. We also noticed that he’s starting to pull his knees up whenever he’s on his belly... practice for crawling, maybe?

He reaches the ground when he’s in his jumparoo. No more having to put a book under his feet : )
Here he is with his Papa.
Playing with Great-Grandma. She cracks him up.
Just being a smiley little baby : )
That's all for now!

Having a hard morning

Damn, I’ve been at work for an hour and I already know that today is gonna suck. How depressing.

This is my 4th week back at work (4 weeks that my Little has been in daycare), so I should be used to leaving him there by now. Usually, when I drop him off, he’s sleeping in his car seat, but today he was awake and he was looking at me with these eyes that said, “Where are you going Mama?” It killed me to walk out of there and leave him looking after me. I’m sitting here typing this out, and I’m almost in tears. I thought this was supposed to get easier! It seems the opposite is happening for me; the longer he’s in there, the worse I feel about it.

And it looks like he’s going to be there longer than I anticipated ::twist the knife:: I spoke with our mortgage company on Friday, and they’re now saying that it could take 6 months for everything to be finalized, not two. NOT.two! So every time I told my baby it would only be for two months, I lied to him. My picture of being a SAHM by Christmas is ruined and I am so so sad. I want to be home with my son! Just about every aspect of my life is suffering because all I want to do when I’m not working is be with Little; the laundry piles up, the dishes pile up, and I don’t make dinner. It's just so frustrating.
